Have a wizzarding experience with Bookingabus!

Be a wizard for a day in London and enjoy these magical experiences. Since the release of the massively famous books and films, most children (and some adults) have been patiently waiting for their letter to arrive. While we can’t make that happened (yet) we can offer you a guide to London so that you can feel like a wizard or witch. In addition, the many filmed landmarks there are also some new Harry Potter themed places we highly recommend.

1. King’s Cross Station

The first place on your list should of course be, possibly, the most famous train station in the world. Here you will be able to try and get on that Hogwarts Express at platform 9 and ¾. Next door to you will find a Harry Potter shop, where you can stock up on goodies and souvenirs.

2. Warner Bros. Studio Tour London - The Making of Harry Potter

Thanks to its popularity, Warner Bros have decided to leave everything as it was when they were filming and working on the films, so that the Potterheads can walk down Diagon Alley, visit Hogwarts and see Dumbledore’s office finish up with some butterbeer. You can even buy your first wand here but make sure to book your tickets at least a month in advance as the tours are extremely high in demand.

3. Australia House aka Gringotts Wizarding Bank

A historical building dating back to 1918, this majestic building was the setting for the scenes from Gringotts. Even if you are not a Potterhead, the architectural details of this landmark will impress you.

4. The Cauldron

This wizard-themed-pop-up located in South London, invites you to a special class of Potions but instead of mixing up some love-potions, you will get to create your own magical cocktails.

5. Wizarding Chambers

While this might be a bit too extra for some people, fans can also book some Harry Potter themed accommodation while in London. So, after an exhausting day of sight-seeing and butterbeer drinking, have a good night sleep in a four-poster bed decorated with velvet curtains in a cauldron and trunk decorated setting.

6. Piccadilly Circus

You can walk in the footsteps of your favourite characters. It is here that the three main characters disapparate to while they are fleeing from Death Eaters and you can also thick off an important London landmark of your list.

7. Tower Bridge

Harry, Ron, Hermione and the rest of the Order of the Phoenix fly along the Thames river with the Tower Bridge in the background. In addition, the Tower Bridge is also one of London’s most famous landmarks. We recommend that you also visit the Tower Bridge Exhibition, which takes you to the upper walkway with glass floor panels to watch passers-by from.

8. Cutter & Squidge’s Potion Room

Drink tea out of tiny cauldron and enjoy some yummy treats at this magic-themed location. You may even wear your wizard robes. Again, demands are high for this fun 2.5-hour experience so book in advance.

9. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

The two-part play that revisits our favourite characters but also introduces some new ones, has gained a lot of attention even though it was not written by J.K Rowling. Make sure you catch a viewing of it while in London, you won’t regret it.

10.House of Minalima

Four floors of distinctive designs on display. Images from Harry Potter film series and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them but also from a series of illustrated classic fairy tale books for Harper Collins adorn the walls. Everything and more (posters, stationery, accessories and books) can be purchased from the ground floor shop.
